    Default Bluetooth Marine Stereos

I put in a Sony Bluetooth car stereo and it worked great until the 3" rain storm! My stereo weather cover opened on its own and it stopped working shortly after. Sony wanted $380 to fix the $140 stereo. The stereo allowed me to take calls over the speakers with my iPhone in a dry bag in a cabinet and I could voice dial on the stereo. I can't find a Bluetooth stereo that isn't just "Bluetooth ready" with annoying beeps like the Clarion one. It looks like the stereo companies are missing the boat literally with bluetooth marine units. I've searched for hours on the Internet. Any of you know of one that I missed?

Why would you want to talk on the phone when you're out in the boat?

I rarely talk on the phone when I'm out, but im out several times a week, and a lot of my second job is phone calls. I'd rather be fishing in my boat doing a little work than in my office thinking a lot about fishing. I mostly want to stream music off my phone wirelessly and not have to keep my phone out and risk it getting wet. I can also get free customized music off Pandora or AOL rather than become a sucker for pay satellite radio. I can also be fishing on the front deck while giving my friends at work the play by play. I already have the unmuffled dual 4" pipe organ tunes.

Just get a radio that is blue tooth ready (car stereo, not marine stereo) then mount it in a location rain cannot get to it, under the dash or something. Then stream away!
