    Default Schuster tanks warrantee??

Hey, anyone know how long Schuster under deck tanks are guaranteed for??? I've had two fail here in the last 6 weeks..... The first was only 36 years old, and now one that is a young 41 years old has started to leak.... Jeezes, just can't get quality stuff anymore....And these were "Made in America"..... 36 and 41, hmmm, I figured the steel tanks would've at least out lived the frickin trailers...So, anyone with an old Tahiti with a steel under deck style tank, beware, and if you think you smell gas, YOU DO!!!!!.............Ray

Actually last Wednesday I used an old "safety" metal gas can...You remember, with the spring loaded "cap" and a squeeze handle..... It performed as though it was made yesterday.......Ray

PS Obviously the gas tank thread was meant as a joke. 41 years, try getting anything made today to last 41 years.....

    Default Going strong...

Tom, the 41 YO in my 69 Tahiti WAS going strong two days ago.....It didn't start leaking until I filled it and hammered it a few times fighting asswipe waverunner wakes...Imagine that for timing huh.........Fortunately, I had burned most of the gas out of it before I trailered it......THEN I started looking for leaks around the engine, couldn't find any....Hmmmmm, you don't suppose another old Schuster tank is leaking??? Nah, must just be the vent because it's so warm.....Yeah, right!! An hour later the carpet, (good carpet this time) is soaked, and the shop is full of "that gas smell"............. No big deal, I'll order another fuel cell from Jeg's and be back on the water by Wednesday/Thursday......AND I still have the Olds powered Tahiti to play with, and IT has a NEW tank....... Ray

PS Ron, call me and we'll make a dam run this evening after the cork%^&#ing wave runners are gone.
