Default 555cid aluminum turbocharged engine- H82W8 boat thread

I finally have the 555 turbo engine mocked up in the stealth and am ready to start fabbing some of the pieces necessary to connect the turbos to the intercooler , and the exhaust from the turbos. Just thought some of you may be interested in seeing a few pics.
Now I need to pull it back out and take the oil pan to have the drains welded in. Just had to do a mockup to make sure that they wouldnt hit anything first

I can understand your enthusiasm. But please try to keep the bling porno to a minimum, or I will be forced to report you to Admin. Looks good

I have stainless saddles in the boat and will have one with 91 pump gas to cruise around on and one with C16 in case I descide to turn the boost up.

Didnt weigh the block but I put the mount on it and carried it across the shop and put it on the engine stand by myself

    1800-2000hp when set on kill.

In a turbo app, do the header tubes need to be the same length for each cylinder? Doesn't look like it in your photos, guess it's not required?

    Looks excellent.
Plenty of room for piping with the motor that far forward.
The intercooler tucks in nice there too.
I've got a selection of left over aluminum bends I'll donate if you need some.

Not detrimental on a turbo deal. A proper turbo cam doesnt have as many degrees of overlap and doesnt rely as heavily on the scavenging effects of the exhaust system. Atleast thats my understanding .

I will be installing a 5 degree wedge under that carb to lean it to the front of the boat , for two reasons, to help level up the float bowls while in use and to give my dizzy a little bit more room for that charge pipe to pass over it.
