Does the size of the ride plate make a diff. Does the angle of the ride plate make a difference in speed? Also does a stainless steel impeller make a difference? Also what's the best bang for your buck for speed? I have a 21 ft lightning xt 2006 with approx. 500 hp 540 chevy spins 5,000 to 5,100 rpms, dominator jet, set back pump, droop, ride plate with an I believe a/b impeller with an inducer, and place diverter. My speedo reads about 64 mph at wot never gps'd. Just trying to find the best setup i can. Yes I do ski behind the the boat and have kids that ski. Trying for the almighty 70 mark.
