If you want to look at some photos, just check the jetboat pictures thread. You don't have to make an ass of yourself to see some pictures.

And this is what all the fuss is about? You're kidding right?

There's a reason that most the boats on here are pre-1995. Most of us build em, not buy em. Even the guys with newer boats have taken em apart and put em back together better than when they were new.

    .
Well maybe it's a post '95 (barge). Of course it likely weighs 2500lbs bare, maxes out at 53.3 on gps and gets smoked by jetskis on a regular basis, but it's post '95

Really!! You all act like the guy that shot the kid for egging his mercedes. Check the post in open water. Sorry if I offended but I forgot we live in the times of no kid left behind. As far as it being daddy's boat yes it is but you can call me Jet Boat Jared. Just playing I was just trying to get a response to a post.. I was just wondering if I'm the only person that bought a newer jet boat. Most people can't understand why I bought a jet. I say jets are just fun to drive. I did check out the picture thread but I got tired of looking at surf boards with motors lol. Just kidding those are some bad ass buoy holders. Don't hate just because I got a big one. As far as being beat by a jet ski it has not happened yet. You say I'm an AH but I'm the the kind of guy that will tow your surf board in when it breaks. I will also offer you polishing stuff so it looks good holding the buoy. I'm just talking I love to watch those kind of boats run it one of my favorite things at the lakes. I boat at Modesto reservoir, Woodward, and the Delta.
As far as the guy that didn't buy his boat I would love to meet you. I have never met a person that knows how to build a hull, paint it, do all the motor work, and rig it. Please give me your number so when my boat breaks I know who to call. With all said I just wanted to see some bigger jet boats. I guess I went about it the wrong way.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and also that you did back it down a notch. Basically, coming out swinging about a 1992 boat is like going to a hot rod show bragging about a honda civic. Welcome to the site. Hopefully one day you may make it down to Bakersfield for a race where many of the people on here who have built their boats from the ground up and the industry legends are. You will learn a ton and gain some insite as to the potato chip boats and how the sales and manufacturing of these boats all but stopped during the refi boom because people were aboe to buy a 30' boat and show how big their crank was at havasu until the bottom fell out. It looks like things are starting to pick up on the smaller boat front and there is more technology being introduced and a lot of the knowledge gained over the past 40 years is being put into the new designs.
