You got two equally tuned SWTD's that weigh in at about 700 lbs bare that are both sporting detailed C impellers BUT.... one is powered by a 641# 540 that makes roughlly 975hp and the other is powered by a 388# 434 that makes roughlly 725hp Who is gonna get to the other end first?

Just for grins here are some vids of the motors

id toss a few bucks onto the bigger motor. faster out of the hole and im guessing they're prolly built to both run about the same rpm. i dunno if 200# is enough to make up for 200hp. just toss a horse jockey into the seat of the one with the bb.

im gna go with the 200hp/253lbs less boat i like the game plan be a bit quicker leaving the hole if you guys are leaving from a stop

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

Is the SB going to spray? How does the BB like the small C impellor out of the hole? How far you racing and how you starting out? From a roll on plane or from a idle flat in the water, or on the trailer behing trucks? To many variables to answer straight up.

We are gonna run them motor to motor Cause when turn the bottles on we spray them however hard we have to win!!! And we are gonna start from a dead stop. The big block boat will slip the pump a little if you just deck it but if you roll into it it hooks hard. Probably run them to about 1000 feet or till someone gives up.

For fun I picked the SBC. The BBC deosnt sound like a 950HP motor. Was that # with the spray?
