If you did a search for a chart...I bet you would find one. Unless you have or want to make room for a 9.5" impy....you don't need to worry about a "aaa" cut....unless maybe a hi helix from duane.

Whats the difference? The pump doesnt know the size of the boat. It should make the same rpms if its tied to the dock.

19 ft CobraJet, I see an AA takes about 495 hp at 5000 rpm havent seen a chart with the AAA.
going to build a 500 caddy, just to be a little different

AAA is going to take some serious power to turn, I know there's a chart here that shows them on it, just can't find it at the moment. That caddy motor is gonna cost an arm and a leg to build vs the usual BBC BBF or even SBC.

So load has nothing to do with RPM and Speed achieved?

On my application it takes aproximately 450hp to turn a 9.5" impeller to 4400rpm.

the boats shape and weight will affect your speed but dosent affect what the pump will do.
using the caddy because to about 500 hp 630 ft pds torque not much more than other motors to build and about 70 lbs lighter than a BBC

Maybe the pump! but it will turn the RPM given. Now please don't tell me a free riding hull vs a barge is going to see the same RPM with the same H/P.

    Why wouldn't it???

If you took given engine and pump out of a super light 16' boat and mounted it in a 55' Sea Ray...you don't believe engine would turn the same RPM?

It sure as heck won't do the mph but why wouldn't it spin the same rpm?
Does the engine/pump know what it's mounted to?

If both pumps are loaded at 30 psi they just might.
