    Default hawaiian hull

i am a new member, but i've been reading alot of yalls threads for a few months now. ya'll know your stuff when it comes to this. i appreciate all the info i get from this forum. i just bought a hull and to the best of my knowledge, it is a hawaiian hull. there are no tags on the boat telling what it is, but from looking at several pictures of boats. i think thats what it is. the hull is at the paint shop right now. as soon as i can i'll get some pictures so maybe yall can let me know for sure what it is. one thing i have been wanting to know is that i don't here much about hawaiian jets on here. are they descent boats or not.

i have alot of work to do on this boat and i am need alot of parts so i will probably have some questions. thanks in advance

    David

Check on the back of the boat for a hull ID # before they paint. Then you will be able to refference that to be sure what you have.

i'll go today and try to find it. try to get a few pics too. he's got it flipped over right now working on the bottom. we checked the bottom out , seems to be in good shape. took a straight edge along the bottom and seems to be good. thanks for the info.

is there anything else i need to check out while its upside down?

looked for ID#, no luck . boat has been painted before, so whoever did it must have removed everything to ID the boat. we are taking it back down to the original gel, and starting from there. without ID# how much trouble is it going to be to register the boat in GA. i had a BAja before and it was a royal pain in the butt, registering it and i had all the info on it. this boat has been stored in a garage for quite a while so no telling when it was last registered. the fellow i got it from is no help either. thinks he knows everything ,but really knows nothing. maybe i should get him on here. yall would have a ball with him

I am wondering the same on the HIN. My boat was repainted covering the hin. The owner before me had it for a while and had a CFZ HIN title to it(CA homemade). I have place staped ss tab on the area where its should be. Any info for sand dawg or myself would be great....

There are a couple ways to go about this. It may be possible to look up the old title with the reg #s on the sides. You may need a cop to hepl you or a registration place.

If you do't have a title, you may want to find a bare hull that someone is giving away or cutting up and teke it down to the DMV, get the paperwork and stamp those #s in the back of your boat and cut up the other one.
