    Default New boat owner

hey everyone, names Donald. i recently picked up a 18ft witchcraft. with a bbf 460 and a panther jet drive. the plan for now is to gut the boat due to the fact the interior was torn to hell.

my first step was gutting everything out of the inside which i have done already. next i am going to start sanding and get it ready for a new paint job. i have a little work to do fixing some scratches the previous owner put in it from loading it on the trailer. they arent deep so i dont think i will have any issues but any recommendations on how to do it would be great.after i get it painted im going to work on the interior. new carpet and seats.

so all in all i have my hands full this winter but having a lot of freetime during the day to do most of the work myself im keeping my fingers crossed it will be in the water this coming summer. wish me luck and im sure i will be bugging this forum with a bunch of questions along the way.

heres a few pics i have when i picked it up.

are there any witchcrafts on this forum?

    Welcome to the forum!
I don't know much about the Witchcraft hulls- I'm sure some folks will chime in that do. It's a clean looking hull. You have got yourself a project there. That is about the same shape my boat was in when I dragged it up to the house- except I had to find an engine also. Unless you have a whole pickup load of parts that you got with it, you are gonna have to throw a boatload of cash at it between now and next summer, so be prepared. There are some great guys on this forum- they will help any way they can.
    Now, get busy!

Looks like a great start....The gel looks in decent shape. Be a shame to paint over the nostalgia. I have used marglass on a few marks on the bottom of mine then touched it up/paint. I double anchor near shore now. Welcome

The project part of it is fun! Those are fairly fast accelerating boats with minimal power. Enjoy!

Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. It's just the license plate has been blurred out so it's not legible. Some folks out there on the net will look up the LP info and use it to get your address and steal your stuff or whatnot.
