    Default speed question

a guy i know stated that he has a 23 foot daycruizer,(197?) with a custom built jet, with a big block olds, thru-transom, that flies by a 55mph skiboat. oh and this olds can twist the pump to 8500 rpms and can hold 6500 for miles no-sweat. does these statementd hold water? he also brags about not slowing for the no-wake zones on the sac river.

I beg to differ. Warren Johson had Olds spinning well past 8500 regularly.

If it's for sale and you're trying to buy it, make him take you out in it and prove it. If it does what he says; BUY IT! No matter what the price because You will have the ONLY 23" Olds Day Cruiser in the world that will produce those kind of numbers. HA!

i'd say it's pretty safe to assume he's either a liar or the tach is set on 6 cyl mode.
