    Default Lacquer Paint?

So I talked to Todd about getting some Lacquer paint (pint or quart) and he pretty much said I am S.O.L. I need to do some touch up on the boat. Previous owner had it painted in lacquer. I would need blue and white. The blue is a special mix so someone who can color match would be a great great help. The white is Matthorn white.

Any one have any idea where I can sneak some paint from? Or anything that will work with Lacquer?

    Thanks.

Careful be sure the paint under is dry and the thinners you use will sofen it up and you will have a mess. Might be easier to put a little primer first then the color. The primer will help stop crazing and help match the color

Is lacquer only banned in commiefornia or nationwide? Couldn't you find some online, buy it, and have it shipped to a friend outta state.....who then ships to you? Bullshitt that you would even have to do that, but oh well.

I think it cost my buddy about $15 for a custom mixed rattle can. Spendy for a can, but if you need a custom color for a small job it's probably worth it...

all paints are expensive especially here in ca.On my gsxr750 i had a 2 small scratches on the lower fairings from hitting ramp loading in truck i think it cost me about 2-3 hundred for the paint to repair it and i had quite a bit leftover.Had to buy 1 pint min, quart of clear, pearl, and thinner.only used about 4 ounces of paint and had plenty left over.

Was going to get red paint for my buggy too couple years ago ppg was going to be about 4-5 hundy for a gallon this included the hardener.OUCH have a friend who paints computer parts, and misc small stuff he got me some acrylic enamel for about 120 bucks(gallon of red incuding hardener, and thinner) here in ca basically told me thats its for industrial use and that when it comes to auto paints they really stick it to you.
