I'm sure by now most of you have heard that last friday the NJBA was notified by Kern County that it had double-booked Lake Ming the weekend of our May race, May 16th. The county offered up an alternate date, May 2-3rd, which the NJBA accepted. Since spreading the word that the race had been moved up 2 weeks, its become obvious that it isn't nearly enough time for many racers to get their programs together in time to race. Rather than have a race that not everyone could attend, the board has decided to cancel the race and make it up at the end of the season, likely in November. We apologize for the confusion and the mess that this has obviously caused everyone, but its the best solution we can come up with given the circumstances. We hope this small break in competition will give everyone time to get their boats together without having to rush for the June race. The next race will be June 21st and 22nd. Once again we apologize and hope to see you all in June. Please spread the word to your friends that might not see this message on this website or our own. It will take a couple of days to post the news on njbaracing.net
Good call on cancelling. between IHBA being this weekend, the race date being moved and the show last weekend it just is not a good time to hold a race. There were just too many racers that could not make it.
