With identically rigged boats, and similar hulls with the only difference being the hull angle, will there be a difference in top speed, or is it a theoretical yes, but only amounts to a mile an hour and if I didn't empty my cooler first you would never know?

I am looking at what is typically refereed to as a river sled or a jet sled; the one I am interested in is an aluminum boat that is 18 feet long and either a 6 degree or 12 degree bottom.

I suppose that the shallower boat gets on plane quicker, and the deeper boat rides through waves a little better.
