Default 18' California Performance in progress pics

Here are some pics of an 18' I'm rigging for a guy at my shop. Its one of Scotten's boats, weighs 400 lbs. Boat will be used for river and drag racing, big inch Donovan goin in it.

I'll update the thread as I go.

Got the hole cut in the bottom for the intake. Intake is not fully setback like we do on the tunnels for strength reasons, would love to try one setback further though if it was a race only kinda deal.

Mocking up the intake. Intake is a 4.25 degree MPD Lo-Profile.

Another mock up pic and the hole in the transom is now cut out.

Will post more, boat is further along than this but its all Ive got for pics at the moment. Fun project so far, looking forward to the rest.

    Thanks for looking.

    Chris

Awesome,I love reading & seeing build threads.Mine is hokie compared to some of guy`s but what do you jet guy`s expect from a Electrician with a V-DRIVE...I have some sweeet one off uni strut brackets a little on the heavy side but props are so fast we can have a little weight... Is the motor(block) going to polished?

Chris that's a damn good start.

1,000 plus hp in a 400 lbs river boat that just sounds great.

Havent you guys learned anything? The only way jet boats will work is if they have peanut port heads and turbs on them. Whatever the hell "turbs" are? Maybe someday you West Coast guys will figure it out....

    Looks good so far.
    I like the colors.

I could use so help tuning my CP this spring from someone that "knows" the do's and donts.
I have "ok" power now, just need the set up right.
