    Default Functioning "Neutral"

NJBA tech insp. #13 All boats must have functioning "Neutral" that is used every time a boat is started on the holding rope.
Can I get a clear cut explanation as to what a functioning "Neutral" is please?
Curious to know due to my FWD/REV is on a pedal that is 100% mechanical, I have a rams horn bucket, if I have to I can modify a standard rev bucket with the side ports, but I think I am doing the same with what exists rams horn style considering they dont reverse for shit!
    Thanks for the help guys.

There have been guys in the past that show up to races with a regular ski boat setups meaning they are on the line jockeying the fwd reverse handle trying to keep the boat in one spot while the other hand is on the holding rope, that doesnt work for anybody and its not legal and you wont be sucessful with that either.. You need to have it setup so that when the bucket is closed the boat does not move, you dont want any reverse and you dont want it to creep forward when the bucket is closed either. If you have a place diverter its real simple you just block off the reverse, ram horn deal might not work for ya, a regualr bucket is what you want with some vents on the sides or off the back with a tube welded to it, Im sure youve seen those types at the races before.

At the races you dont want it to go backwards, thats the whole idea. You dont want the boat to move at all when the buckets closed.

Ive got mine where it wont back up or creep forward even if I rev it up, it does make the boat do sort of a flat spin though, havent figured that one out yet but that only happens if I rev it up a little with the bucket closed and there is no reason to do that unless youve got the dreaded carb stumble which I got rid of and I hope it never comes back!

I have a manual PD as well as an R nozzle should I figure out the r nozzle or stick with the manual PD? I was thinking of going with the r deal for my first time on the rope, less crap to worry about was my thought!
    Thanks for the help.
