Default Tunnel Tabs on a 21 Daytona,

I have a set of tunnel tabs from a 22 Daytona and have been
considering installing them on my 21 Daytona.
I’m thinking they would help in slow to cruise speeds, and are basically
Not doing anything once it starts packing air in the tunnels. I have seen them on the
Southwind tunnels. These are manually adjustable and fit my tunnels perfect plus this would be a perfect time to install them since my boat is stripped. Could they cause any ill effects? will they do any good?

similar to these in this pic

Outlaw I cant see where it would not help with stedding the ride at slow speeds but what would it do to your high speed. Unless you were able to adjust on the fly! First post was messin! I am sure someone knows the facts! WT

They could help out,but if they were needed don't you think they would of came new with them? The reason for the plates on the southwinds and mod tunnels is to control the air entrapment because they don't pack like a true tunnel. The lower the plates it holds the air in longer getting more lift in the transom.Under speed they should not even be close to the water. The outer sponsons are up alot higher than the inner riding surface. If the plates are in the water,it aint working right....

Now that you have that explanation, and the trim in the other photo was covered, I'd like to ask what's in the suitcase with the air scoop on it.
