have a painter lined up just need some idea or help with ideas on getting the boat off the trailer and something to set the boat on while painting it or if i can get a doly for it somewhere... please help
There was a great thread on here with pics and all of guys lifting, flipping, and setting down a jet boat. The were using an engine hoist/cherry picker with a sling wrapped around the front of the boat, and another one wrapped around the jet in the back. No motor in the boat of course. They lifted it, pulled the trailer out, laid some blocks on the ground below it, and either set it with grate down, or roll it over in the air and set it top down. I wish I could find that thread or if you can there is pics! By the way, how big of a boat and what is it costing you to paint it?
If I rememer right I think I put mine on some barrels. Since the motor was out I was able to slide it back 5 or 6' and lift it up slide the barrels under it and then do the same in the front and have someone drive the trailer out.. This was dealing with a flat of course..
