    Default Jacuzzi WJ Impeller Nut

Anyone know what size that thing is? Heading to Northern Tool this week to buy either a wrench or socket and finally get underway with rebuilding my pump.

    Thanks

Storz save yourself the aggravation of a very large and expensive deep socket , use a hardened allen head bit to loose the two set screws and a SIZE large ajustable wrench combined with a rubber mallet (whack) the Impeller nuts on WJ are very seldom very tight Tom

Thanks Tom, I got the allen head screws out the other night and luckily they came right out.

Glad to hear a large adjustable will work. Once its all out and I measure the impeller size I'll give you a shout for your rebuild kit. Are the wear rings in the kit a standard size or can I get one to match my impeller?

Unfortunately funds are too low this year to spring for a new impeller so I have to re-use the old one

checked a couple of nuts off the wj and they were 2.25. as tom stated you might want to use an adjustable. i have taken sockets and cut them apart and tigged entensions in them for our oun use but have never found an off the shelf socket deep enough to fit over the shaft. rex and others have the deep socket for the berkeleys but am not familiar of anyone that has one for the wj.
