I did a custom build on one of those for a customer. The boat came in as a running deal with a decent 468 and a cheater system. I took it out, and it ran 78 mph, so it wasn't bad. The boat we had did not have any stingers at all, but it had a thick floor that had rails thru bolted. We did a basic pump build, with a shoe and ride plate, and a fresh 502 with the same cheater kit on it. It picked up 11 mph. The boat was extremely heavy, and had a strange bottom, but it turned out to be a 90 mph lake boat. since, the guy added a second system and is claiming almost 100. I just remember that hull being really heavy. I remember seeing one years ago, as a fuel boat, and one as a circle racing jet. that was in the mid to late 80's.

Is that the SST model? Have worked on both jet and v-drive versions of the Sleekcraft SST.

At least you have good taste! I have a 79 SST that I'm having fun with, agreed a heavier than typical hull. But it appears someone made a 100 mph one! I'd certainly like to follow that but I'm struggling with if it is worth yanking out the "E" pump I have and sticking in a performance type intake. I can tell ya this hull handles the chop very well and doesn't get stupid. I've flown through some chop and it appears to like to get loose
Here's a pic of the bottom before I painted it and a shot of what she looks like now...
