None really needed, when it's in the water, that lubes it, but you can use a little blue grease if you like ,won't hurt!

I replaced my nylon sleeves and put a small amount of red grease on the pins.

They are designed for water as lube, grease will only suspend any sand or grit causing premature wear.

    Default lube

Any lube put on would be washed out during the first use. and leave a mess if any stays and collects dirt.

I never had any sand, dirt, grit or mess on mine. The small amount I put on them is still there.

permatex anti-sieze compound. If (and I imagine you are) using the nylon sleeves and ss pins this has seemed to hold up best for me. No matter what you use, it will get blown out after time but the controls will tell when to re-apply. M
