If you haven't seen this elsewhere it's worth a watch.

There's another video that Al Teague talks about that boat has very little lift in it and the down pressure on the deck makes it the most stable boat he's been in at those speeds.

Shit can happen real fast at 255 ft per second.

If you don't win it all but get a good payout do me a favor and just put one of those Mercury 1350's in a jet boat:

    # At 1350 hp, this is the fastest, most powerful engine Mercury Racing has ever introduced

    # Turbo-compressor induction delivers a punch from holeshot to peak rev range, while pulse-timed exhaust tuning keeps turbos spooled, eliminating lag altogether

    # Monster, mesa-shaped torque curve ensures unwavering power through entirety of runtime by controlling boost and regulating torque at high engine outputs

    # Quad cam, four-valve, port fuel injection, and dry-sump efficiency deliver massive amounts of power with 9-liter displacement, matching high-performance marine propulsion with luxury-car-like drivability

    # 6500 RPM redline adrenalizes boat and boater

    *************************************************

that's 550" of 4 valve twin turbo BB. I need to find out more about that engine. Wow.

The bar has just been raised......... who's first ? ????

I heard Mercury had to build a new drive just to handle the power that motor makes

We spoke to Bob at Eliminator about buliding a ultra light kevlar 25 Daytona w/plugged mold to make it legal for the Parker 300 and using this powerplant

However, a 32 DCB came up with twin 1100 Teaque motors and with a pulley change and remap they can put out 1500 hp each

testing is next week and a appointment with Teaque for a tune up and check up has been made

I think the Predator boat from here in tucson is a 150+mph boat, I would love to see one of these super badass super boats on the water!!
Just seeing the Predator in tow is incredible...
Does anyone have any idea what speed 2700hp would bring at Bonneville?

I have a buddy with a 46ft skater with twin 1500hp sterlings in it that I've been in up over 160mph before, damn the lake gets smaller at those speeds.

Do you know anything about the foundation of that engine or anything about the 4v head on it?

I'd just like to read-up on it a bit. I wonder what it runs for boost?

I wish I know more about the 9.0 liter quad cam twin turbo, just what I read.

I know much more about the Teaque motors. We have spent some time with Bob and John Teaque on a full shop tour

I like the fact the Teaque motor are BBC based foundation pieces with lots of reliability and years of testing behind them
