And if I may jump on your wagon, those that have tweed upholstery how do you like it when your wet? Does it hold sand and dirt? If you have tweed would you recommend it?

Yes there is a difference between to 2!!! Tweed seats are nice I like them in a race boat, but have been in a boat with tweed seats for the weekend, Had to put a towel over the seat for the next two days to keep from getting, like rug burn on my back from the seats! I don't like them in a boat you are going to be in all the time, but thats just MY 2CENTS!

I have tweed in my boat and havent had this problem. When the ole lady and I are boating, we spend a fair amount of time on the water and dont think I would change a thing. Its probably auto-tweed since I didnt even know there was a difference...

did you see this link... some cool ideas in here look in the portfolio

:: West Coast Marine Interiors ::

im going with something similar to this, just the stripes and not the "frame" still using the "old school" style seating. nothing modern about my seats. just going for a really clean look, i dont want my seats to look "busy" so they dont take any focus away from my rig

Well I'll see if I can get some help there, believe me it's green! shoemaker & scotten told me 2 were made in 79, the best I can do now is to have you go to nor-cal jet boats look up gone green, then show your boats for uptodate pix.......it's been a long road..

im also a big fan of tweed. not as hot, and dont have to worry about peoples swimsuits and lotion staining em, etc.

dropped my seats off this week to get covered. should be done by end of next week. did white on top, grey tweed sides and bottoms and white pipe trim between/edges. ill post up how they come out.
