    1972 Glencoe
    455 olds
    holley carb
    holley intake
    berkeley jet
    and thats all i know.. cause im just learning what i have

    My nephew has an 18' Glencoe. Very nice riding boat for its size. Not to fast, about 54 mph but a nice stable boat. Congrats!!!

    hull looks really good with good paint gell coat i think its called..

    i want one of those things that go on top of the carb, look like a scoop or something. how can i tell what carb i have?

    Since it is an Olds, then there is a good chance you have a Quadrajet. Post a close up pic and I am sure someone on here will be able to identify it.

    Looks like a Holley to me. I can see the float adjustment on the front and rear bowls. Either 4150 or 4160 series. I'm betting 4160 since I can't see a fuel line and I do see what looks like the secondary vacuum housing. Either way it accepts the same scoops. There are numerous sizes and shapes of scoops. Maybe post a pic of the type you are talking about. If it is just a simple aluminum scoop you are wanting they come up in the SPAM section quite often. If you are wanting a bigger fiberglass scoop there is a little more to installing one of those.
