    Default Few impeller questions

I found a Cheap Bronze B impeller I'm thinking about getting..simply because I want to get rid of my aluminum and have something a little better.

He says one of the fins has a small crack...can this be repaired good enough to make reliable?

I have an aggressor AB right now...would going to a B be a be a bad move?

Big Valve Oval Port Headed 496, Roller Cam/rockers, OT Headers, Hydraulic Place Diverter

    Thanks!

What RPM are you turning now? What RPM does your dyno chart tell you that you need to turn?

With a 496 oval port you shoud have plenty of tork, I would run that bronze guy, just get it welded and blend it, the bronze won't flex like aluminum,so you can have a tighter pump, rpm will problaby drop but you will go faster

I don't really know the answer to either unfortunately...I think it ran around 5900, but it probably shoulda been more like 5700

would welding it fix it right up?

5700 to 5300 is about right. you have a tork-engine if it pulles down to 5100,your good, if it does'nt go to an A

Need to know where your motor makes power at and how much it makes.

I run a stainless A with a DPS induser, motor makes all of its power from 5500 to 6200 range.
My boat is setup to run best on N2o
Off the bottle its a slug because it spins 5100.
On the juice 210 shot it spins 5900, i gain 800 rpm because without the N20 the motor is no where near its sweet spot, with the N2o i gain the 210hp plus my motor starts making all its power through that range.
Im going to try a couple more things set up wise before i cut my impeller down to a AB to get it to its RPM max.
What im trying to get at is it really helps to know where you motor makes its power for picking out the ideal impeller size.

On my daughters boat were running an stainless A with a 461 chev 850 dp flat tappet hydraulic cam bassettes msd, I mean nothing really special oval-ports bath-tub, pump gas deal I think it's buzzin 5600, she's running high 70s maybe 80, so you got a 496, run the B

So you're point is, my engine makes the low end torque to not need the benefit of an A for a holeshot, and I could pick up some MPH with going to a B?
