Default Quick question about MSD wire hookup

I'm trying to figure out if i'm understanding the diagram correctly, the white wire hookup is confusing me a bit. The diagram says to hookup to the negative wire of the output of points or electronic ignition amplifier, so is that the negative wire of the module inside the distributor?? Cuz if it is, that's connected to the coil and that's not making sense to me. For the love of god, i hate wiring!!

I just need to verify if i need to disconnect the negative (from the module in the distributor) from the coil and connect it to the white wire from the MSD box.

It's a Mallory Unilite distributor. I have 3 wires that come off the distributor, red, green and brown. The red(+) and green(-) connect to the coil and the brown connects to the termial block. I know that using the MSD you connect their (+) and (-) wires to the coil and those are the only wires that are supposed to be connected to the coil. So that means the (+) from my distributor connect to the MSD small red (+) wire and the green (-) wire from the distributor connects to the white on the MSD...right??
