    Default impeller choice

I understand impeller to rpm on a regular hotboat, however a buddy has a 22' aluminum fishing boat he just bought with a messed up jet. 250-300 hp,prolly 4000-4500max rpm,not lookin for speed. Am I right by recommending a "b"or even maybe a "c". boat had an "a-2". WE never saw how that performed

I would start with an AA
Probably needs an A but a big heavy
Boat does not work well with anything smaller IMO

X2. If it doesn't turn enough RPM to suite, you can always trim it.
