    Default powder coating a jet question

    i have a berkley 12jc pump that i want to get powder coated. i am trying to avoid taking off the bowl so i dont have to replace the gaskets. my question is, do i have too drain the oil out of the bowl or can i leave it?

    you have to drain all the oil out, for it to be powder coated, you also need to take the pump completely apart including removing the wear ring. the heat of coating it will melt the insulator around the wear ring.
