Default 454 BB...What kind of oil?

It is a stock motor and i was wondering what kind oil to use? (both motor and for the Jet-Berkley). Also after the boat has been sitting for just over a year it fired right up and sounds good.

But is there any maintenance like spark plugs, oil change, ect...that I need to replace or change? Thanks in advance for your help

tell us more about your engine, remember jets run under load at all times, so spend the $$ for a good oil and filter.

use 90-wt gear oil for the bowl. unless you think there is something wrong with the oil, it should be fine. if you used it after you parked it for the last year then you probably dont have much in the bowl.
