I want to repaint the boat down the road but have no idea what costs can be. I'm looking to keep the same paint scheme I have but want replace the yellow striping with a brighter orange that matches my seats and PC'd parts. Pics are of original paint and a digital "repaint". For you paint guys any idea of rough cost for replacing the yellow with the orange and reshooting the clear on the entire boat. These are flat paints and not gel. Just looking for a ballpark figure.
No more than what you are wanting to paint here, i would think that you could get by with less than 200 bucks in base coat, and it really depends on how much you wanna spend on the clear and how much you wanna spray, i think you could get it all done for less than 500 give or take if you are doing all of the work yourself.
I just did my own....and still needs on more coat of clear.(read runs here) I think if I would have nailed it all 1st go around probably could have done it for 6-700. I am pretty close to a grand at this point. Talkin sand paper, filler, primer, tape, paper, base coat, clear coat, pearl, wool and foam buffing disks, buffing compounds, ect. I am easily in mine over a grand. Granted I painted the inside of my boat to....and the flippin read pearl paint was 112 buck a quart. Base coat clear coat would be cheaper.....and not having to do it all 3 times
