    thinking about buying this cam, is it a decent cam? basic stock 460.

    Sounds like good deal its a little small but should help a bunch on a mild 460 the cam I'm running is like 1 or 2 sizes bigger really woke the ford up hope some others will chime in good price id get it you can always change to a bigger cam later if you don't like it what impellor are you running try to mach your cam to your impellor to see great gains I've got an a in mine it gained a lot with the swap

    That would depend on the application. For a jet boat? It is bigger than the OEM 429/460 passenger camshafts but has less duration than the OEM 460 Marine engine camshaft, for example. I'm using something very similar for my F250 towing engine.

    The timing chain does not appear to be a double-roller but a traditional OEM link-pin style.

    Comp Cams and Clay Smith both have cams with profiles designed for jet boats. I went with a comp cams in my BBC.
