Default New to site and got a Carrera Elite

Just picked up this 87 Carrera Elite 20.5. Love this boat! Motor and pump have 20 hours after recent rebuild. Very clean and well taken care of boat, and really just needs a wet sand and buff. Interior was redone two years ago. Got it up to 61-62mph on two different GPS's. Previous owner had a supercharger on it and got it up to 75mph at 5-6k elevation.

Indmar 468 BBC, Berkeley 12JG w/droop, manual diverter, rudder, A impeller.

Appreciate it. I found some good info on this site about these boats before I bought it. I wanted an Elimanator cruiser but I could not pass this up.

Here's a few pics of the engine and anyone know if zerks are normal on the bowl of a berk? I always thought they needed oil. Guy I bought it from said the pump was that way when he got the boat. He owned it for a few years along with having it rebuilt recently. I'm inclined to tear it apart just to see whats up.

looks good! Buddy of mine has a Carrera very similar. Nice looking boats. The zerk fittings on the bowl are fairly common. Some people just change them over. Im thinking about doiung mine the same way. I think the grease will stay in there better/longer over the oil....anyone else's thoughts on this??? Congrats again and welcome!!

I'm in north Frisco. We mostly go to Lake Lewisville. Those pics were taken at Hidden Cove Marina up towards Little Elm.

Nice boat. You should think about chopping that top down a tad bit.... just a little bit tall!

Thanks man. Yea I know, it looks goofy and I was thinking of cutting it down. Problem with that is it will hit the prostreet scoop when it's down. I think I'm going to take the visor off after seeing one without it. Def need some pics without the bimini on. I like my shit chopped up and low too.
