Default Electric Actuator for Engine Cover

Is there a way to over ride the electric hatch? Mine decided to go bad with the hatch closed. I can get to it by lifting the back alittle, but figured there could be another way.

Check to see if there is an access hole behind the rear seat back cushion. My Cole has them on both sides so you can reach in and remove the top actuator pins, allowing you to then lift the cover by hand. Jocko

Where my actuator meets the hatch cover I have have a quick release. See if you have the same before having to unscrew a nut.
