    Default Place diverter

    Were to make hole in transome for place diverter cable i am running a manuel place diverter

    Personally, I try to drill as few holes as possible in my boat, so with that said, I would suggest you try to run the cable through your Transom Adapter for a couple reasons. The first reason is mentioned above, the other two are that if it's a Berkeley, it's probably already got a hole it for a cable run thru and the other reason is that if you run thru the Transom Adapter there are more seal grommets readily available.

    I also used hose barb fittings that I had to cut in half with a dremel and added blue hose to protect my cables...

    I like to parralell my f/r shift cable and trim cables when possible whether is thru the top edge of the transom adaptor or actually thru the hull Tom

    Everyone does it different, My diverter cable is on the right thru the pump, my F/R is on the left side back transom, and below that is the speedo mount, the speedo isn't used but I don't want the ugly screw holes showing if I remove the plastic mount.
