    Default Haskal tunnel ????

I have found what we think is a 1980, 19' haskal tunnel hull with a hin of ....HMNT1336M801. The owner thinks it is an 83 but is not sure. It has a AT pump and has been converted to a BBC with a 512 block and Iron heads. The owner thinks it is a 427 but I imagine it is probably a 454. It has a very flat keel wich looks like a very long delta pad. The shoe sets lower than the keel. Any one know anything about the Haskals and if so how good of a hull is it and what is the good and bad. I thought I could add a dropped keel and set the pump back this winter if I bought it. Thanks in advance.

must be the blue on that was on co springs craigslist...i saw that a while back...cool lookin boat...i dont know anything about them...ive been searching but i cant find anything...the add wont pull up anymore so i cant post a pic...ill continue to look for info but for the price he had on it you would probably be better off with a proven hull like a 19 daytona or a C.P.....just my .02

Yes that is it. The gel looks good but the boat is going to take a whole winter to modernise. I was just worried about the flat keel before i started negotiating with the owner. Thanks for the reply

That is not a haskell, its a centurian or a brendella pickle fork,

Could you tell anything from the HIN at the top of my post. I am sure the owner has it right since it says Haskel in the Gell coat. I was wondering how good the flat keel tunnels work as a jet.

if its spelled Haskell like in the ad it should have a hin # starting HMW not HMN made from 6/3/75 to 3/1/83 in San Fernando Ca.

What are yours plans for this boat (lake/race)? If its a lake boat i wouldn't worry too much about it. Ive got a delta pad (flat keel) on my Nordic. Last time I ran it at Bakersfield it ran 114mph @ a little under 10sec.

Looks just like the bat centurian in spam, identical gel coat scheme except for the colors.

Your probably right on the HIN. I wrote it on a napkin so it could be a w. Yes and I knew I misspelled Haskel. thanks for the reply.

Just a lake rod. Glad to hear a flat keel is working for you.
