but if shit went wrong it would not be me taking it in the ass. i live to close. and i know where he lives. haha. people say you cant get blood from a stone, well ricks not a stone and im not just some fuckn chump! i guess thats why we do good biz together.
Although it seems that Bitz builds a nice 21 from what we can tell...
Im not prepared to set up a tent and a mailbox at the end of his driveway.
I will PM Ryan to get more details and figure out if there is a commonality between those that
receive their boats on time and those who don't.
Ultra has a 21 closed deck that they are laying up locally, I may just go that route. Still need to talk to John D.
Hang on for the ride to grey water...
Rick... hurry up and chime in
We wash our parts in gasoline,
We drink Alcohol,
And we go racing with Nitro-Methane!
A good Thread. The Home Boys are out to protect and promote. I have known Rick for years, I have not seen his boats yet he is up north so I am not amazed by that. Greg has Tom's moulds which are well stated in performance and looks. I think Greg has the 19s while John D has the 21 and having rode in the 21 it is a performing hull at any motor level. Skaggen again builds some fine boats that perform.
4 months of being late I would think would have some reason behind it or explanation to it. I can't reason he would leave the guy just out hanging. Good Luck on your choice.
id say , be pacient. four months may seem like a long time, but if you assesed the merits of picking a bitz over another over priced production boat buy a big name, then im sure the wait will be worth it. good things take time, and id rather wait a bit and have a jewel rather than hangin with a bunch of samey samey boats. as much as any one will argue ,you cant tell me that a boat that was spit out of a big production shop has any thing going for it other than striking while the iron is hot so to say. delivery date is everything in buisiness right, i can attest to that . but tell me that any of those boats have soul and ill laugh in your face . ill take a hand built ride from a number of select manufactures over a production boat any day. think that any ultra(for example) that has been built in the last five to ten years will be looked upon buy anyone as a collectible, is like saying my wifes 03 jeep liberty will be a classic one day. boats have been puking out of manufactures at a blistering pace for a while now. and with the economic crunch in the states , whats the first thing that they sell? say good bye to the boat kids. take a look at the adds in print and on line for the boats avalible. seems strange that somthing that is so valuable to you, is so easy for you to part with. low production , and classic boats have no owners just caretakers.
Let me know when Bitz will produce a Deck version of their 21... The only options right now are the Ultra and old Placecraft 22 which are both way too expensive for the average Joe... To be honest, it is beyond me as to why the rest of the boat makers don't build a deck version of their cat style 21's.... It is a no brainer... The wife and kids will be happy since you can store and walk around easier and you'll be happy for having a performance cat style boat.
So, if Bitz owner is here, I hope he sees this posting and starts tooling a Deck version of the 21 like the old TPR Fundeck/new Ultra 21 Shadow deck for the rest of us that can finally afford one...

Yep, Larry has it now and has "freshend" it up a bit. He had it detuned some for the outdrive. Dan can't wait to get his evil hands on it now as well. Hopin it runs a bit harder than my last 21.
I think thats really really cool you posting those pics of your old Daytona for the new owner.
I have much better things to do with my time than delete posts from you guys.
Maybe you should take your fight elsewhere.
