This goes out to all the regulars...I havent been to havasu in years and im bringing my 18-20 foot jet boat with a bbc. Its a closed bow witchcraft and fits 4 adults. Im wondering if my boat is up to the task for havasu.I dont plan on adventuring anywhere but the channel or possibly copper canyon. Ive heard the horror stories of swells taking over smaller boats like mine and im wondering if its worth the hassle to put my boat up there or if I should just rent a boat.*

All and any pictures would be greatly appreciated of your jet boat in havasu

I boat on Havasu from time to time with my southwind but am at the far end near the dam. I personally would never take my boat up that far but if you do, launch at windsor and do not go below the channel. Up in the gordge is going to be your safest bet near the reeds. The section near copper canyon is probably the roughest part of the lake and id stay far from it. good luck hope this helps

windsor will be closest, bottom of industrial. on july 3, i rode with tb from windsor through the gorge, almost to topock. it was busy, part of the ride was a little rough, but had a good time.
you can always tow about 10miles south of town, to cattail cove and launch there. ramp cost will be the same, but you're five miles from the dam. we go down there way more often than windsor, a lot less cluttered. there are a lot of boat-to picnic areas on the arizona side, and nice shade on the ca side.
if you wanna do the channel, launch on the jetboat side of windsor and drive around the corner. you probably won't want to go very fast, but it's doable...

Had a 21 foot southwind , almost broke in half going up to the sand bar and through the gorge it was hell with big boats acting like you weren't even there passing and leaving a wake that would rock you up and down into a big hole f that

Havasu based here...but i have a 21 Mojave....i see lots of little boats out but probably not for the faint of heart for sure on the weekends. Plenty of mellow days out here though just can't expect to be out here 4th of July. Windsor Beach and the Havasu Marina are both great launchs.....Wal mart (unfortunately) has a great water proof lake map. it's in the sporting goods section on the counter.
Happy Jetting!
