One of my gas tanks sprung a leak the other day(loose sending unit) and spilled a lot of gas into the L/R corner of my hull.
I got the tank out and am cleaning up the area.
The tank was secured in place with a fiberglass glass mat, and the old mat was very soft and sticky.
Probably gas damage...
The floor has like a coat of goo on it even after I got all of the old mat out.
I can't really get it dry/hard enough to put a new mat down with confidence.
Die grinder just mooshes it around and loads up the sanding pad.
What can I do to dry it up?
I have minimal experience with fiberglass.
