I use Brad Penn, the old Kendall, 50 weight in my blown alcohol boat. What should I use in my NA 496 boat?

Someone posted a cool link where some of the best & worst oils were tested. I think the real deal Royal Purple stuff came out on top, though im not sure the Brad Penn stuff was tested.

Only question is, where to get the good stuff?

I use Amsoil in my truck and have heard nothing but good things from everyone using it. Not sure about jet boats...anyone using it?

I run 5w30 red line, excellent results up until this point. I would also run Royal Purple racing oil (not the highway oil) or Lucas.

I've always used Penzoil for everything for as long as I've owned anything with out any issues. I even use the Penzoil premix for my bike.

Break in with rotella 15-40w and run mobil one 10 -30w is what I've been doing. If Mercedes is running Mobil One in their cars for 10K mile oil change intervals, it can't be bad.

As far as filters, WIX filters.

I'd like to see that, I don't remember reading it.

I think the top of the class are: Redline,Moltul,Royal Purple and Amzoil. Primarlily because they all use vegetable ester's.

I have had good luck with Mobil One for over 18 years and would never consider running a non-snythetic oil in any engine I cared about. I have run synthetic's vs conventional back to back on the dyno in at least 9 engine's. Not only did they all make more power once we switched to synthetic but the oil temp ran anywhere from 25-40 degree's cooler.( that's from lack of friction)

We did a test with that Joe Gibbs oil at Westech, picked up a few HP with it. I cant justify the cost for a few HP though. I think fuelinmyveins is still running that stuff.

On another site a guy sent in a few oils for analysis, royal Purps racing was on top according to him. Again, high dollar stuff.

Picked up Joe Gibbs at the shop. Already seeing differences over RedLine and RoyalPurple. There BR break in oil is top notch.

The liberals are asking us to give Obama time. We agree and think 25 to life would be appropriate.
