    Default Daytona's with wings

Hello, I have all the bulkheads out of my Daytona. I don't think I will ever need wing, but I have the possibly to add material in the sides of the sponsons before I add the bulkheads. Is this a benefit/necessary, or do the wings install without? I'm looking to go faster, and just trying to think ahead a little. If I ever need it, it will be there.
Any input/suggestion are welcomed. Thanks in advance. Be safe, schick

I believe most of wings are mounted without extra lamination. The point where the top cap overlaps the tabs on the hull bottom is fairly thick and strong. Shoe told me that we may consider a front wing when I approach the 128 to 130the mph range.

At the same time, I am sure a little extra reinforcement in the inside of the sponsons would not hurt a thing

Thanks Gear. I think I'll add a little. That's a BIG number. I don't think I'll ever be there, but if I do it won't hurt. Be safe, schick

Its really not necessary and could make it more difficult to install a wing at a later date.

On my boat that area was surprisingly thick and have no issues with the way my wing is mounted and my boat is under 400 lbs

Are the wings a one off deal, or does someone sell them? Thanks for the input. Be safe schick

I am a dealer for the high end carbon fiber wings like the ones on 000 and 516 dragboats. The aluminum wings can be had through B1 racing I would bet.

    Default Wings

We are currently working with Dan Olson on with some wing modification. I just delivered a new designed wing to B1 Racing and he sauid he really liked it. As far as adding more glass up front, the seam is an area that already has additional glass so we have never had a call for more material.

From what I understand this is why Tom designed the Stealth. Added more downforce to the deck to go after the 130+ crowd. Is this not correct?
