Just remember it has to run on bud light and fit in with the back row boozers

    Spectra 18

We wash our parts in gasoline,
    We drink Alcohol,
And we go racing with Nitro-Methane!

My 18 didn't like rough water at all, but a big ride plate made it much better. Still a great boat though.

From what I was able to gather the Hallet is the spectra. I was also told they get REALLY hairy over 75. I had about 500hp in mine but with the short stringers I wasnt willing to risk doing more power.

RB thanks for the info, i was tempted to buy yours when it was up for sale the first time, but couldnt gather the money in time. so you have heard the bottoms are the same? also i like the spectra a lil bit more cuz it has the rounded bow and the hallett is more pointed. it seems as if the hallett is more rare and expensive than the spectra
i just wanna be able to cruise right around 60 or so, thats good enough to get to the coves and stuff

A friend of mine used to own the ex spectra 18 factory race boat # 18J.
He ran a stout BBC with a small nitrous system. His boat was always pinned full throttle no matter what the water was like. When the water got ugly is when his boat was the most fun. He really beat the shit out of that boat and it just took it.
