Actually when Colorado River Association (what ever they were called) was around we ran up river.. That organization didn't last long so most of the races where with the current..

Colorado River Racing Association in '92, I think, we went against the current. it was fun, didn't last long but I still have the shirt!
I was working for Gary Kincaid at the time. John Mudd worked there too. thats when Gary introduced me to Tom Papp. a great guy!

I think it would be awesome for the 2012 season if the NJBA could plan a race there... I know the board members put in a bunch of personal time in to plan these deals, I`m sure its a pain in the butt & not as easy as it sounds to secure the water rights for a weekend as well. If needed I would be willing to lend a hand doing anything to help secure that venue for our 2012 season. That would also make for some awesome pictures in my garage & just the fact of knowing that I got to race at the same place as some of our past greats!!!!! Sorry for the high jack BTW awesome pictures

Nice video. Turtle and I used to go to the races at Bluewater with RiverRacer in the 80's as part of the crew. The first 2 minutes or so aren't from Bluewater. Don't know where it is, but it ain't there. Great video like I said.

Is that Mexican restaurant still there in Parker? We used to fall asleep in the chairs while the adults drank half the nite, lol.

I wonder what the difference was in ET from up river to down river? Anyone here raced both and can answer that question?

Good ol days right there.. My oldman still has that Hondo.. Getting ready to add some serious power to her for a river boat..

Funny you mentioned the bounced check deal, we went thru that also.. I remember one time we were racing there, water rough like usual and we we're giving my oldman shit about driving conservative. He went out there and free'd her up and ended up running a 141 with it wanting to crash in the shut down area for another 1/8 mile.. Oldman says to this day that's one of the craziest rides he's ever had.. They ended up stopping the race and buying my dad and his crew beers for not crashing.. Pretty funny..

Tom, DeClark has been talking about finding venues on facebook.. I ask/mentioned the same thing about Blue Water.. It has everything you need there.. I know the wind tends to be an issue but research could help chose a date like they did at Merced one year..
