Default alternator mounting for front motor plate?

i am looking for ways to mount the alternator . with the new motor plate i can't mount my usual alternator without cutting the mount most of the way out. i am thinking mini alternator. who makes the good alternators ? & or which ones to stay away from. i was looking at the denso or gm style for race 50-60 amp chrome. does any body have pics of other ways of mounting ? thanks ,turbo wog

It takes a few spacers. One mount on the motor plate and an L angle on the cyl head slotted for the adjustment. An aluminum turnbuckle for stability.

Hey Wog you've been busy. Mine is mounted like Infomanaics. Not sure there's to many options there. Im think-in you should have clearance between the logs. Where was it mounted before?

I also used the HTP altenator bracket. It is a nice set up. Duane is also, now making an adjusting arm for the bracket. Here is a pic of the whole set up.........Hal

We leave a small "Tab" on the left side of our rail mount plates to facilitate Alternator mounting ..

I cut the upper adj arm out of 1/2" plate and the lower mount out of 2" round stock.
