    Default Mr. GPS speedo

I just installed my GPS speedo, and now I am pissed I don't get to try it out until spring

There are some really neat things about this...the face is customizable (though when viewed at 6" you can see some pixilation), it displays max speed, and the digital readout keeps going after you pegged the needle. Does 0 to 60 times and some other cool stuff. Also has a hot start feature that acquires the satellite really quickly. Price was good too. The only downside is they are really thin and use a spin ring rather than the standard long studs...soo...if you want to use a trim ring, you have to drill and tap that, and mount the gauge to the ring and the ring to the dash.

I have a Speedhut GPS speedo. It looks exactly the same. Probably is. I love mine. Pretty quick to respond, the quick start function is nice, lots of features. 0-60 by time and distance, 1/4 mile, top speed. Dead on when compared to a hand held Garmin. Only problem for most will be its shallow depth and ring for tightening. I have an alum. dash cap so i was able to cut the dash itself to accomidate the ring and cinch it up against the back of the cap. Go to speedhut.com Many customizable faceplates and colors. Great price, about half the cost of most i've seen.

hook up to the boat, turn on the key, have your buddy pull you down the highway
    or just use a camera.
