    Got the jet repainted this weekend and almost got the motor fully in.

    another 78 tahiti! sweet.

    thats one hell of an engine hoist. lookin good. whats it got in the motor?

    Yeah I couldnt get the motor high enough to get over the transom without puling the manifold so I just grabbed a tow truck from work. Much easier.
    As far as I can tell its a 454 with dual carbs and rewarder stacks. Not sure if it's bored over or not thought.

    OK am I the only one that noticed this bowl is upside down. The oil fill holes are on the bottom of the bowl.

    If that motor has a vdrive oil pan and pickup on it it's not gonna work. That motor came out of a vdrive right? Pick up would be on the wrong end of the motor am I right? First time he gasses it the engine will be starved for oil Pull the pan and make sure .
