    Default Looking for info??????

I looked up this hin prefix and here is what I found. Does anybody know anything about these boats?

CONNERY INFINITY BOATS (OOB) from florida

The boat is a jet about 18 to 19 feet not a buble deck kinda has a long bow with a pointy tip. the deck has a slight crown to it and the stringers are a little bit narrower than a 2X6, but not 3/4" thin, maybe like 1" thick. I will try to get some pictures but the hin prefix is WEC.

    Thanks
    Chris

Okay, here are a couple of pictures that I was able to get. The boat is backed up against a wall so I couldnt get a good picture of the transom.

I like the look of the hull, and its hard to see from the pictures, but there is a slight crown down the center of the deck. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Always read the "comments" section on the data page that comes up for the HIN prefix. In this case, the first line is "INFINITY BOATS OOB 800329, 2838 NE COLUMBIA, PORTLAND, OR". Since that is certainly a 70's era boat and InfinityBoats went out of business in March of 1980, I'd say there's a pretty good chance that that's the manufacturer of the hull in question. That being said, I've never heard of that brand of jet boat. Perhaps they only built a few or maybe marketed them under a different name.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, possibly sold under another name. I have also hears that some manufactures used other hin numbers until their own hin numbers were approved by the u.s.c.g.

That looks like a boat I looked at once over in Texas! Same colors, graphics and it was a Ranger boat! Is it full stringer or 1/4?

The one I looked at wouldn't be in California! It needed to be chainsawed into pieces! It does look like a Ranger!
