I took the boat out yesterday (first time in about 1 year so it still had the old gas in it). The boat would not idle until i ran the boat for about 10-15 min around the lake. After beach the boat for an hour or two the boat would not idle again. I adjusted the idle screw on the carb and that did not work. Last time i had the boat out it ran perfect with no problems. Is this because of the old gas?
I have 2 battery's (one for stereo and one for starting). Being as after we had beached the boat and listened to music the boat would not start (got it started by jumping) and yes i did turn the battery off. My thought is that when i first got the boat on the lake and not idling i had to continue to start the boat a bunch of times. By having to start so many times is that why the battery died?
