    Default setback pump without rideplate?

Does anybody here run a setback pump with droop but no rideplate? I was thinking about removing the rideplate just to see how my boat would would ride. My guess is that it would porpoise all to hell but have never ran it that way and just curious. It's an 18.5 ft ultra (southwind t-deck mold). Also if I remove the rideplate must I remove the shoe as well?

You wouldn't want to try that.

Ok, Ok. I won't do it. I figured it would probably be a bad idea.
