    Default launching boat with Rhino

I have a 20ft Carrera Eclipse do you think I can launch with a Rhino? Ramp is ok not to steep. I've seen guys with small race boats with dolly trailers use a Rhino, you guys think my boat is too heavy? Trying to not drive my truck back and forth just for boat launching. Thanks

You may want to do a dry run and try backing up and down a driveway if you or a neighbor has one with enough angle to it. Better to find out if it will or won't pull your boat in your driveway than sliding down a ramp with everybody watching. Then again, that could be pretty entertaining. I say go for it!

    BC,
Just leave it in over the summer. Tie it up next to the pontoons....

Your rhino should have no problem.

i think the rhino will spin the tires, may have to add an extra beer cooler to add some weight to it.

Greg, I do like to smoke the jeep tires all the way up the ramp. Mangment didn't think it was so hot. I'm still trying to talk the Mrs. into cuting a hole into the bedroom for the pump. Two benefits, boat will fit in garage and i can work on pump/ ride plate in the Ac. lol

I have launched my boat and pulled it out with a rhino. i have a 20.5 advantage jet, very similar to your carrera. Put it in 4x4 low and lock out the rear diff. you are gonna have plenty of weight on the back with the tonge weight of the trailer. Make sure you air your tires up to the max. I had some buddies sit on the front bumper of the rhino to give it front end weight. I did alot of research on this topic before i tried it and have a close working relationship with the guys at Alba Action sports in poway CA and talked to there guys who make race rhinos and they said it would be fine and they were right. They also said the rhino is the only UTV that would be able to safely do it because it has a wet clutch and a dry clutch. the Teryx and Ranger dont have those and you will F* up there transmissions bad if you attampt it. Just take it slow air up the tires, 4X4 anf low range and lock out the rear end and you will be fine.

Dan, The Mrs car doesn't have a hitch, and this way I can get a Rhino . Your boat would be alot lighter without 5 coolers on it !!!!

He needs every one of them!

I carefully tried to launch my winger with this last summer. Almost lost the whole works. Serious case of tail wagging the dog that day. Thought I might get lucky if the ramp was dry. Figured I could at least launch it........NOPE. FAIL. Made the swing mid-ramp, started backing and realized it wasn't gonna work then gassed it like mad. Oddly enough that little 8 hp 2 stroke cart motor was spinning tire all the way up the ramp. Pretty friggin funny. I can laugh now since it didn't all go floating towards Mexico. Not one of my better plans.
