I have recently found a 74 Sanger Flat Bottom Project Boat to purchase, the owner now has started a full restoration and has also obviously given up since the boat is for sale. The pics I have seen show the stringers completely removed and off the trailer, it's supported at the outside corners and under the bow eye in a sort of tripod configuration. I plan to go see the boat in person next weekend and have hopes in purchasing since the price is right for what all he has to go with the hull. My question is the way it sits now, is this causing the hull to warp and or causing any permanent damage? Also will it withstand a 400 mile trailer ride back to my garage? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
