I am posting for my friend Rob who lives south of Detroit.
This is the cleanest original Hydrostream I have seen.
Great guy, call him if interested. Boat has been to a couple MHB meets and Hardy.
You are looking at one of the cleanest original streams out there. The boat is white with a few shades of grey and a red stripe mixed in. I have owned this boat for 3 years now and we have enjoyed it very much, but it's time to change gears. I have a ton of paperwork to go with it including the engine manual and Hydrostrean sales brochure. I'm the 3rd owner, 2nd owner had it since it was 1 year old.
The motor is a blackmax 2.4l 200 carb of the era and is orginal to the boat, it is very clean under the cowl and never been apart. Compression is like 130-133 or something real close together (stock). It has hard motor mounts and a drilled exhaust. It runs great and has low hours, prior to me buying it the 2nd owner had the original plugs replaced and waterpump rebuilt. He told me he figured the boat and motor had 50 hours total all the years he had it and I doubt I've put 50 hours on it in the 3 years I've owned it either. The motor is mounted to a 4" Land and Sea hydraulic jack plate and it has tilt/trim and all work great. The lower unit has a Bob's nose cone with low water pickup and torque tab. I have two nice stainless props to go with it, a 24 & 26 big ear chopper. The boat will Gps at 80 with 26 and runs off a Land and Sea hot foot petal, I have only had a couple chances in 3 years to run the boat up at that speed so I'm sure with a bit of tweaking on the motor height you could get a couple more mph out of it, and if you wanted to run a 28 pitch prop for all out mph then it should go even a bit faster. Most of the time I had the family and if we got it up to 50 or so the wife was getting nervous, my kid likes to go tubing so that is what we did most of the time we used it.
The bottom of the boat has sponsons on the sides that will pack air and help lift the hull. This also makes for a great riding padded V hull. This boat can cruise along just fine but once you get into it the bow lifts up and it rides on the center pad and thus helps to increase speed due to less drag on the water.
The interior is original and perfect. Wood seat structure and floors are amazing, no water damage, carpet is original and great as well. Gelcoat shines like new on top and bottom, no fading, these pictures do not show how pretty the boat really is but all I have on file at the time. Boat is always stored inside. It has a full canvas cover and engine cover. You can pull a skier with the factory ski bar. The Eagle trailer is super nice with new radial trailer tires for the first time ever last year, finally chunked one of the original bias but didn't blow out.
Boat has an average priced new 4 speaker marine cd player w/ remote and ports for ipod or memory stick. Boat shines like new, just needs a new home. Would consider some sort of trade for a cruiser style motorcycle (Jap or Harley), no crotch rockets or a Arctic Cat GREEN ONLY LXR F5, F6 or F8 2007 and newer. Call or text Rob at 73477732sixfive, Or email me at [email protected]. The boat will be coming out of storage soon and I'll get the battery charged and fire it up.
